What kills the big bumble bees? The only bee killer I can find is wasp and hornet and that doesn't faze them.

We poured a concrete floor in a shop that covered the hole in the foundation where a swarm of them lived. They came home and were mad as heck. The mechanic had a can of carb cleaner with the straw to spray a tight stream. That worked quite well.......What kills the big bumble bees? The only bee killer I can find is wasp and hornet and that doesn't faze them.
The problem comes when they put in a nest... We had a bee today start building a nest on the light above our side (primary) door. It has to go. My husband knocked down the next but we suspect he'll be rebuilding tomorrow... We shall see but if he does, we'll have to get rid of him... Report Abuse

It sounds like you actually have carpenter bees, and you need something specific to them. If you have a wooden mailbox pole with a perfectly round hole in it that is a sure sign that you have carpenter bees. One sight I saw said that the best wait to kill them is to use a dust called Drione. You need to kill the female to take care of the problem. Also, the males, the ones that are so annoying, do not have a stinger.
You have a terrible problem and need a fast solution, but bumble bees are disappearing around the world because of a virus. We need bees to pollinate vegetables and fruits. It is a big concern now. Call a bee keeper to come collect them from you. If you cannot find a keeper in your area, call your local Animal Control and see if they can give you a name or two. I wish you well with this problem.
Bumble bees are actually good to have around. They help polinate flowers and trees. I have never killed them nor got stung by them.
Should not kill bees. They are disappearing.
Never kill a Bee!

You will starve, you fool!
