How do I kill bumble bees?

Their nest is in the ground and spray won't work...please help as my mom is allergic and she is the one that mows the lawn.How do I kill bumble bees?

Wait till night time, when most (if not all) the bees are in the hive/nest.


Cover the hole with a scoop of dirt. Cover the dirt with a garbage can cover. put a weight, such as a brick on the cover (to hold it down).If the bees dig through dirt, the cover will do the trick. keep the hole covered for about a week.


Bumble bees don't produce honey like honey bees do. They do pollinate plants though.
You will only be at risk if you disturb the nest, they are pretty docile and not likely to attack your mom. Make a little fence round the nest and leave it alone. Bumble bees are becoming scarce, we need to protect them.
