How do bumble bee's find their way out of their hives but get stuck in your conservatory?

There are a couple of reasons for this. The first is that, unlike the hives of honeybees, the bumble bee's hive is relatively small - colonies are generally no larger than 50 bees. It's pretty hard to get lost in a small, familiar environment.

Also the bee's vision has evolved without the presence of glass, so bumble bees are unable to see the difference between a glass pane and an open door. They are able to learn the route within their hive, and use light sources and touch to navigate. How do bumble bee's find their way out of their hives but get stuck in your conservatory?

Bees have mental maps of their hives and home ranges. If they end up in an unfamiliar location, they will become disoriented and need to find their way out by trial and error.
Generally the insects are headed towards the light. In the hive, the only sunlite is peeking in from the opening to the hive. In the conservatory the light is coming down from panels which allow no escape. The bugs have no concept of looking for a door or fresh air, their instinct tells them to head to the light.
because there hives don't have double glazing
