How do I get rid of bumble bees/carpenter bees?

They are chasing away the hummingbirds, and are really annoying! I don't want to kill them just discourage them from being around my porch, any suggestions??How do I get rid of bumble bees/carpenter bees?
what you probably are seeing are the male carpenter bees...no traps will work. Try to keep painted the wood they tend to tunnel in to discourage new activity...as far as the holes already there...any insecticide..dust /liquid /aerosol will kill them..shoot a blast into the hole than plug with wood putty. If by chance they are nesting in a large, nearby tree your only option may be an old tennis racket to reduce the numbers buzzing aboutHow do I get rid of bumble bees/carpenter bees?
carpenter bees have black shiny butts.... bumbles are fuzzy.... don't hurt the bumbles, k?....

the males are outside, protecting the females in the nests.... so be sure that the females are OUT of the holes before you plug them , or they will just tunnel out the other way......

we like a badmitton raquet.....

painted wood will turn them away.... stained wood is an invite... bare wood is lunch.....

problematic tho they be, they do still do a fine job of pollenation.... look for them in the cool early morning when they're slow.....use the hose to wet one down to the ground and then squish.....

my house is cedar siding and I have a wood fence.... all stained!!... duh................
They sell these everywhere, they should help! there are all different styles
