What do bumble bees dislike? I want to get rid of some in a wall cavity?

My grandchildren do not like them buzzing near them. I don't want to kill the bees, just discourage them from their nest. What do bumble bees dislike? I want to get rid of some in a wall cavity?
I suggest you tolerate them; bumble bees are in decline in the UK, with only 6 of an original 19 native species still widespread. They are very useful creatures, and pose no threat to you or your grandchildren (unless you start pestering them). In short, the benefits of having them there far outweigh the buzzing. And I don't know what that other guy's talking about; they DO form colonies with nests, albeit of far fewer numbers than other bees. What do bumble bees dislike? I remember from discovery channel that bees calm down when subject to smoke? Some natives were shown to gather nector without any form of protection and succesfully done without a sting because of the smoke.

You could try Smoking them out.

Also could squirt them with a water gun then run inside the house with all windows shut for a little fun :D
must agree with doug, they are an endangered species vital to your garden. perhaps you can educate your grandchildren to become intrigued with them. at least they are solitary bees and not a hornets nest.
Play some Des O'Connor records really really loud..nothing n nobody likes that..And by the way are you sure they are bumble bees..they are solitary things and dont nest in groups..
Bumble bees are so cool! Just leave them alone they are not dangerous they just want to visit flowers.
Have a look in yellow pager under bee keeping,They will be happy to collect them.
